Meet The Team

After graduating from Dental school, Dr. Baxter completed post-graduate training on Oahu in 2011. He started working at Kahului Dental in 2013 and took ownership in 2014. He has 5 young children. He spends his free time with his family and gardening.

Dr. Momberg graduated from University of Louisville Dental School. Prior to relocating to Maui in 2020, Dr. Momberg worked for Indian Health Reservations in Nome, Alaska for two years. He lives an active lifestyle surfing, skateboarding, and traveling. 

Dr. Lena Poonnopatam (Dr. Lena) was born and raised in Thailand. Upon graduation from the  University of Iowa, she relocated to Oahu to begin her career before making her way to Maui in 2021. She joined Kahului Dental in 2023.

Dr. Hannah Lewis has practiced dentistry for over 25 years. In her free time, Dr. Lewis enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs. She loves yoga, hiking, golf and being involved with animal rescue organizations.

Patients love Shaina's calm and gentle touch. She is thoughtful, caring and a great addition to the team. Born and raised on Maui, Shaina attended Baldwin High School. Then off to UH Manoa where she received a BS in Dental Hygiene in 2018. 

Angel was born and raised on Maui. She went to Oahu for school and joined Kahului Dental in 2018. Angel is a business woman and mom of 2. She owns and operates @mauiselectphotobooth and @mauiselectprints.

Born and raised on Maui, Sierra has over 25 years experience as a dental assistant and at Kahului Dental since 2014. Sierra cares about people and works hard to make things right. She has 3 wonderful children. 

Tasha was born and raised on Maui. She joined Kahului Dental in 2019. She has 5 children, manages our office team and spends her extra time volunteering or playing volleyball. This kind and busy mom is always serving others. 

Mikal was born and raised on Maui and joined Kahului Dental in 2022. She's brought a lot of joy and positivity to our team. She has been learning the ins and outs of insurance and helping improve our systems. She enjoys everything anime. 

Rose is a force of positivity and mom of 2. Originally from Thailand but Maui has been home for almost 20 years and at Kahului Dental since 2017. Rose teaches Zumba on Fridays and if you know her well you'll get to taste some of her delicious Thai food. 

Born in California but raised on Maui. Jeannette attended UH Maui for dental hygiene and joined Kahului Dental in 2018. As a mom of 2 young children she makes balancing work and family look easy.  

Born and raised on Maui, Mary has been a dental assistant for five years. She enjoys spending time with her nephew and anyone's baby. You'll sometimes hear her singing during procedures. In her free time she's often adventuring off island. 

Everyone knows if Lou is at the office, her laugh and joviality makes everyone smile. A recent Maui High School Graduate, Lou works as a dental assistant while also a student at UH Maui. We are hoping she stays in the dental field. 

Kariza attended UH Maui for dental hygiene graduating in 2019. She spent some time working on Big Island before returning back to Maui and joining Kahului Dental in 2024. Kariza knows how to have fun while still managing 2 small children.  ​

Elene worked as a dental assistant in both general dentistry and orthodontia before attending UH Maui for dental hygiene. She joined Kahului Dental in 2024. You'll find her at the office Wednesdays, Fridays and some Saturdays.

Riley graduated from Baldwin High School before continuing at UHMC in Dental Hygiene and joining Kahului Dental in 2024. She is a proud new mom and a licensed drone pilot for Adams Aerial Technologies. She has a passion for collecting shells. 

Lindsey works full time at another dental office in Kihei but helps us on her available Saturdays. Her calm demeanor and warm smile brighten our Saturday shifts. 

Kawehi is new to the dental industry bringing with her extensive banking experience. She was born and raised on Maui and mom of 1. You'll get to know her checking in at the office or calling in on the phone.
