Dr. Lena Poonnopatam DDS

 

Dr. Lena Poonnopatam (Dr. Lena) was born and raised in Thailand before moving to California at the age of 10. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at UCLA. She was accepted to the  University of Iowa College of Dentistry in which she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Having a strong desire to live in Hawaii, she made the move to Oahu where she worked in a variety of dental offices before realizing Maui Nō Ka ʻOi. You might recognize Dr. Poonnopatam from Hawaii Family Dental's nearby location where she worked for two years. 

 

She is motivated by the enjoyment of interacting with people and knowing that her patients are capable of having confidence and a great sense of satisfaction when it comes to their dental needs.

In her spare time she plays tennis, cooks amazing Thai curry and takes care of her pet plants. We've been lucky getting to know and share time with Dr. Lena.
